Chief Executive
Martin Paltnoi, an economist, statistician and a full member of the British Market Research Society since 1960, began his market research career in an advertising agency, first becoming involved with the pharmaceutical industry when invited to join a small team created by IMS to set up audits (this company now firmly established as the principal supplier of market data for the pharma industry). Further marketing experience followed in advertising before joining Lederle Laboratories in a senior market research capacity and also utilising his statistical skills in production forecasting. After a number of years with this company he joined Smith Kline and French as Market Research Manager. Before setting up his own consultancy he was with Deltakos where he continued both marketing and market research activities.
Since 1973, the MPA consultancy has been concerned with all aspects of marketing ethical pharmaceuticals, particularly in the UK and Europe. It has covered the full spectrum of business intelligence for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries although is probably best known for work done in pharmaceutical patent intelligence. In this context Martin Paltnoi is an acknowledged expert covering the subject on a global level and in this capacity is frequently called upon to advise both the traditional research-based companies as well as the generic sector of the pharma industry.
In 2004, MPA Business Services Limited was launched to cope with the growing interest in pharmaceutical intellectual property and handle the many reports produced on the subject. In particular the creation of this new company coincided with the launch of a new service dealing with EU Supplementary Protection Certificates.
